The guided life

For me, it’s an important example for us that Jesus relied on His Father and not on His own miraculous powers to meet His own needs.

In the case of Jesus refusing Satan’s temptation (to throw Himself down from the Temple) with the words ‘It is also written: “Do not put the Lord your God to the test.”‘, we can better understand why He lived His life in constant prayer with His Father and not taking matters, like ‘devine protection’ for granted.

So too, we don’t stand in the middle of a busy street with a view that we will be protected because our time has not come.

Do you think that this is a common trap which Satan sets for us?
