This statement by Selwyn is really good: “If we fail to comprehend how much we are loved by God then we will have no energy to live our lives in the way they are meant to be lived.”

It is the major reason, why so many live half-lives. Do you agree?

The following is also good: “Whenever, as a young Christian, I doubted the love of God, I was told I should go to Canvary. I never quite understood what that meant. Then one day I complained to God that He couldn’t really love me; if He did, I argued, He wouldn’t allow the things that were happening to me. He gave me no answer, but instead He showed me the cross. And  I saw His Son dying there for me, the scales fell from my eyes, and I found love for Him flowing out of His love for me.”

If you ever feel that God does not love you then just stop and look at the cross. First, see yourself there dying for your sins; then see Jesus taking your place – a wonderful God, who created everything good – who did nothing wrong – but freely took upon Himself, your sins – and died for you. So that you could have eternal live – how will you respond to what He has done for you?
