One of the main issues, that turns people away from meeting with other Christians in an church environment, is the poor behaviour of many, who call themselves Christians. Too often, people can recite the rules of their respective church but fail to live according to these standards; and, are all too ready to gossip about others who may have stumbled, from time to time. These people may profess a loving and forgiving nature, yet they betray the true nature of their heart when they constantly recall and broadcast the past failings of others.
Selwyn makes the point in today’s study: “Christians who lack integrity hinder the progress of the gospel in this world and set Christ’s message in a false light. Determine to be honest in thought and speech and act. Lay this point down as a cornerstone of your life, … , and begin building from there.”
