It would pay to meditate on the verses set for reading and meditation, especially these verses from Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians 6:18-20 (NIV): “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”
As followers of Jesus, God is in us, if we love Him with all our heart, mind and spirit – everything we think or do – is done, in full view and knowledge of our living God. Consequently, we can have constant communication with God as we live out our days on earth, because we have a relationship with Him - we are connected to Him, as are the branches of a grape vine. We can never be separated from God while we are in this relationship, we are not our ‘own’ (or, on our own) - a really amazing fact – when you think about it for awhile – don’t you agree?
