I’m always take notice of what Selwyn says, in regard to his personal experiences; especially when he talks about his wife, and his thoughts – prior to her death.  I think, it’s a special strength of his writings that he often talks about God based on his own experiences – it’s not all theory.

I thought Selwyn summarised well, the role of God’s Spirit in our lives: “The Holy Spirit (God) is a Counsellor who has everything. The ability to give good advice? Yes. The ability to empower with divine strength? Yes.The ability to be our Advocate? Yes. The ability to pray through us when we don’t know what to ask in prayer for ourselves? Yes. The ability to stand by us when we are overcome with worry? To comfort us? Yes! Yes! There isn’t a single thing we need in life that He isn’t able to provide.”

God (the Holy Spirit) loves us.  The Holy Spirit is not part of God; He is not, only, the Spirit of God; the Holy Spirit – is the exact representation of  Jesus, and our Father – in every aspect of His divine nature. There is only one God – beside Him, there is no other!

God has made His home in those who love Him. Consequently, He will give us everything, we need, to follow Him home.
