Today, Selwyn writes about those examples given to us in Scripture of how men and women were guided by God. The best example by far, is the guidance given to Jesus.
For me the important point is that God does provide guidance to His people; and His guidance is often specific and precise.
Selwyn illustrates this point well with the account of Philip being guided to the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:26 – 40). Listen to the guidance given to Philip, ‘Go to that chariot and stay near it.”
The directions given are not vague or ambiguous – and, I believe that God works in a similar way with each one of us. God provides, clear and easy to understand directions, for us to follow.
Do you seek His guidance; and do you discern the clear guidance given by God?
I’m often surprised by the number of people who tell me that they rarely hear God’s voice; for me, I think that His sheep always hear His call. Do you agree?
[I’ve started to receive Every Day with Jesus by eMail and I’ve had a few teething problems with the process.
In addition, all my computer gear was destroyed by a lightning strike over five weeks ago – but, it has taken me this long to review my style for this blog, restore part of my network; plus get back into a routine.
However, no one has mentioned missing what I write 🙂 ]
