I thought I would start to include in this blog, personal postings which will give people an idea of what sort of person I am – and provide some context to the material that I write, regarding ‘Every Day with Jesus’.

This is a picture of Neroli – who is my wife of many years, now enjoying her retirement at Orient Point, where we live close by the river. Now and then we have a chance to get out on the water and enjoy God’s creation.

The dog’s name is Max. He loves the water and spends a lot of time chasing fish in the shallows – sometimes catching them. He is disobedient, head-strong and constantly nagging me to take him for a walk. And no – he does not reflect his owner’s personality!

We picked him up from the RSPCA about nine years ago and have little idea of his previous history - but he is a lovable rogue and most of the time we can tolerate his bad behavior – he resents any activity which is designed to curb his alpha male characteristics.

Neroli and I have two sons, Miles and Lindsay, both in their thirties - and in future postings I will talk about what they are doing.
