Hi Anders,

Thanks for your comment. However, I hold different beliefs to you – and, I don’t agree with your groups view of the New Testament. I think the ‘Letter to the Hebrews (Jews)’, says it much better than anything I could write about this issue. In summary, I’ve met Jesus (like Paul did), the one true God back in 1991 when I first became His follower – therefore it’s not only what I believe but also what I know to be true.
Sorry about the delay in responding, but it’s a spiritual matter – only God can really answer your comment. regards Shayne

Early on sunday morning while it was still dark Mary Magadalene went ot the tomb and saw that the stone had been taken away from the enterance. She went running to Simon Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved and told them, they have taken the Lord from the tomb and we dont know where they have put him. Then Peter and the other diciple went to the tomb, the two of them were running but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and saw the linen clothes lying there and the cloth which had been around Jesus head, it was not rolled up by itself, then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first, also went in he saw and believed. They still did not understand the scripture which said that he must rise from death, then the disciples went back home.

Hllelujah, he is still alive, and he will come soon to rise up all his followers with him to live in eternal home.

Yes, I’m often amazed that God’s Son died for us – consequently, we must be priceless in worth – and, we only have such a short time here on earth, to freely give God glory for what He has done for us; and, to be a light on a hill, guiding (by the power of the Holy Spirit) others towards Jesus.

I don’t read TFJ so I don’t know what today’s reading is. However, this sounds to be in agreement with Jesus words in John 17.
And I agree that we shouldn’t go against the herd in an attempt to be different. That fact is that we are different whether we try to be or not. We are new creations. But our new self is in some repects very similar to our old self, and in some areas very different. Our duty is to be true to the new identity that God has given us. Sometimes it will align with the herd and sometimes not.

Thankyou, I needed this. Stumbled upon this site and feel refreshed by what I read.
So humbling to think that a rotten person like me still stands a chance of living in paradise with Jesus, because he died for me! He thought i was worth it. Wow!

Sure, sometimes the Lord will open our eyes even when we aren’t listening very closely. That is often a painful experience. However, we do have a responsibility to ” be talking to Him and listening, for His words;” I’m amazed at how “out of focus” to borrow from your Optician imagery, that I can become despite the profound affect that the Lord has had on my life. Just shows how desperately we need a Savior. Even David stumbled in some of the most ugly ways.

While I was reading your commnt at the end of todays commentary – “I’ve reached the point in my life that I know Jesus loves me, and I trust Him with my life; yet I’ve been through some very difficult times – He has used these bad times to help me, to better understand His amazing loving ways; and, to strengthen my relationship with Him. This, I know – Jesus loves you!” – it reminded me of something I read just today.

I thought that the definition of despair was quite profound – “a refusal to struggle.”

The story of the sparrow is amazing. What a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
